How to take the test

Press start and watch the 3 by 3 grid. The active tile is shown with color, scale, border, and its number so the cue is not color-only. When playback ends, repeat the sequence using the actual buttons. Keyboard focus also works because every tile is a semantic button.

On a miss, the completed level is shown and the correct pattern is briefly replayed. A fresh sequence is available when you start a new Solo Practice test or Arena Run.

Scoring method

The score is the highest completed level. Level one contains one button press, and each successful level appends one more random tile. Higher levels are better.

Why results vary

Visual attention, input device, browser zoom, display refresh rate, distractions, and current system load can all change a run. Results are for entertainment and general information, not medical, diagnostic, neurological, or IQ claims.

Sequence memory FAQ

Can I press during playback?

No. Input is ignored while the pattern is being shown, then the buttons unlock for your turn.

How does the pattern grow?

The first level has one tile. Each successful level appends one new tile and tries to avoid repeating the previous tile immediately.

What is saved as my score?

The saved score is the highest level you completed before an incorrect button press.
